In this 18-minute program, host Bernie Heinze talks with Nate Scott, a U.S. Army veteran and successful entrepreneur, about ways to improve the success of interviews with military candidates.

Nate Scott, CEO, NSI International

Nate served as an enlisted soldier and war veteran of Operation Desert Storm before receiving a Congressional appointment to the U.S. Military Academy and graduating  with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and computer science engineering.  He has actively engaged in personal growth and development since 1996. In addition to his faith, Nate attributes much of his success to the training that he received during his military service.

From 1996 to 2001, Nate went on to serve as an Army Infantry Officer and Ranger. He earned an MBA from George Washington University and graduated with an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Georgetown University.

From 2004 to 2007, Nate worked as a financial professional.  He started off as a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services where he built a $6.5M book of business before accepting a position to serve as chief financial officer of UNETA, Inc, a privately held mortgage and real estate technology company that was listed as #155 on INC 500 fastest growing companies in 2007. In 2007, Nate was selected as one of 32 finalists for the 2007 White House Fellows program. Although he was not one of the final 15 selected to be a White House Fellow, the experience he gained competing at such a high level inspired him to clearly define and fulfill his life's purpose.

In 2010, Nate founded NSI International, LLC, a privately held company, to help organizations develop a culture of leaders that know how to think versus just what to think and that are empowered to take mission centric actions in the areas of leadership, sales, and strategic planning. As a voice outside of organizations, Nate is available to challenge, encourage, and empower people with a fresh perspective.

As a social entrepreneur, Nate has a vision of "Wellness In The World: Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Financial".  One of the causes that he promotes is the fight against obesity.  He leverages his platform to inspire others to accept the Project 10 Challenge for Kids. For every 10 pounds that a person loses or muscle gained, 30 nutritional meals are donated to charities that support at risk, overweight, or obese children.

Nate co-authored the book “Pillars of Success” along with Jim Rohn, Alexander Haig, Jr., and Pat Summitt.  The book is a compilation of ideas from numerous experts who share the “how” and “why” of their success. In his newly released book "Life Is Rich: How To Create Lasting Wealth", Nate shares a unique and valuable perspective about the financial danger that no one is talking about, and he shares practical recommendations for what everyone should do to respond to it. As a speaker, Nate engages his listeners using the Socratic method of teaching to deliver interactive presentations that focus on topics and situations such as leadership, sales, strategic planning, and money that hit home with his audiences.
