17th Secretary of the Air Force
Dr. Donald B. Rice was the 17th
Secretary of the Air Force from 1989-1993, appointed by
President George H. W. Bush. He served as president and
chief executive officer of RAND Corporation and headed three
for-profit companies in diversified manufacturing and
biotech. He has served on numerous boards of directors,
including Wells Fargo, Chevron, Amgen, and Vulcan Materials.
Dr. Rice is a graduate of University of Notre
Dame (B.S., chemical engineering) and Purdue University
(M.S., industrial management; PhD, economics). He has
received five honorary degrees. A U.S. Army officer
veteran, Rice has also served as deputy assistant secretary
of defense for resource analysis and assistant director in
the Office of Budget and Management.

Hugh Hewitt is a lawyer, law professor and
broadcast journalist whose nationally syndicated radio show
on Salem Radio Network is heard on more than 75 stations
across the United States every weekday evening to an
estimated audience of 2 million listeners a week.
Professor Hewitt is a graduate of Harvard
College and the University of Michigan Law School, and has
been teaching Constitutional Law at Chapman University Law
School since it opened in 1995. He is a Senior Fellow with
Center for America.
